A phrase I have been caught on this morning is "joy junky". Glennon, one of my absolute favorite human beings on this crazy planet, referred to herself as a joy junky in her interview with Chase Jarvis back in 2017. When I feel like life is becoming too small I turn to authors and engulf my whole being in their words, their actions and their purpose. One of those authors being Glennon, I feed off of the wisdom she and these wildly creative people have. Digesting this phrase I am pondering on joy, you often hear that it is a choice. Well, I agree with that but I also feel that it is an action. Joy is when you choose to move out of your stillness, out of your sorrow, your mundane emotions and stir up your heart. Choose to let joy move you, choose to find joy in every small thing you do. No more robotic emotions, feel deeply and don't be afraid to do so. Joy is a big, raw emotion that everyone is itching to feel. You can attract joy to your life by getting up out of your stillness and choosing to be present in the happenings around you. Look to be a part of the things around you. Do not get caught up in the circumstances of your own life, instead find a new focus in creating joyful habits. Another author I have been really into lately, Bob Goff once said "when joy is a habit, love is a reflex". When joy becomes something you habitually seek & create in your life, you are going to find your life full of love as well. Choose joy folks, choose love, choose to habitually seek joyful love.
